We are in the dynamic season of in-between - between what was and what is becoming - this middle ground of composting and seed-planting. I think of the time we live in as a time to create good soil for future generations to build new understandings and realities from, therefore right now, we are in the midst of composting.
Composting, taking the scraps left over from a dying civilization, taking the broken parts, the patterns and beliefs that no longer work and further unraveling them, so they can be made into something new. Before something new can emerge, we must compost well. Ensure we do not bring over patterns of a colonial past that reify hierarchical beliefs, binary ways of seeing reality, and beliefs that limit and destroy, instead of build and uplift.
Seeding might happen during this time of composting, in small pockets, where communities are learning to build new realities and understandings centered around spiritual principles, centered around their nobility. Slowing down our thinking to unpack and root out beliefs that no longer serve humanity as a whole is essential. Each community in charge of their own process of transformation.
I will share my own efforts at composting and possible seeding here from time to time.
